Finance Department
The Ascension Island Government Finance
Department is responsible for maintaining and developing
local government finance in order to meet local fiscal policy
requirements; whilst supporting local engagement, flexibility,
and the delivery of shared government objectives.
We analyse, design and operate tax policies including
the recording and collecting of income and property taxes.
The department comprises 9 members of staff.
The director of financial services is also an honorary
member of the Ascension Island Council.
Public services are available at the
cash office, which is situated on the same balcony as the
Saint Helena Bank, Islander building, Georgetown.

Money transfer
Bill payment.
